APPLICATIONS OF THE HEALOZONE IN CARIES TREATMENT

FISSURE CARIES/ENAMEL CARIES Makes up more than 85% of all lesions which can be traced down by diagnosing in due time with the DIAGNOdent device and entirely pain-free treatment with the HealOzone.

DENTINE CARIES Case when the caries penetrated enamel and extended into dentine.
In such cases of caries, treatment is performed in a couple of phases until tooth remineralisation has been achieved. The advantage is that less dental tissue is being removed so that natural tooth firmness is preserved. After treatment with the HealOzone teeth are temporarily filled with FUJI 7 material which itself serves for remineralisation and prevents food from tooth entry. Patient Kit is additionally used at home for increased remineralisation. This filling is taken out later on and the remineralisation degree is being established with the DIAGNOdent device. If required, the procedure is repeated until the tooth has been completely remineralised. At the end the tooth is filled with an aesthetic filling.
